Don’t miss these food fairs in 2020!

Advent is the time of anticipation! And to make sure it continues after Christmas, we’ve put together a series of food fairs for you to look forward to in 2020, dear food startups. Here come the most important industry events in Germany, where you can present your innovations, strategically expand your network and meet important trade experts and potential partners. SAVE THE DATE(S)!

Food Innovation Camp

Of course we are very much looking forward to our next Food Innovation Camp on June 15th in Hamburg – because next year there will be new exciting startups, mentors and exhibitors again! Up to 1,500 trade visitors can be inspired and networked specifically at the industry get-together of the sustainable food and beauty scene. Here you will meet top decision-makers from trade, gastronomy, investment and politics. The perfect platform to present your products, obtain valuable tips from experts and perhaps even win an investor and partner for you! Now’s the time to apply for one of the 85 exhibitor places and/or be one of 30 start-ups on our pitch stage. We are looking forward to seeing you!

Farm & Food 4.0

What started four years ago as an annual Berlin conference has now developed into a hotspot for current debates and an international networking platform for the agricultural and food sectors. At Farm & Food 4.0 on January 20th in Berlin, startups, innovators and farmers will meet to discuss the food production of the future, collect ideas and exchange knowledge and experience. Under the motto “From the field to the plate”, the conference will focus on the digitalisation of agriculture and nutrition. We find the sustainable and solution-oriented character of this fair particularly exciting. So, dear food startups, nutrition experts, sales representatives, farmers and all other interested parties – let’s go and network!

Internationale Grüne Woche

If you’re already on your way to Berlin, just stay another week longer and visit the world’s largest agricultural fair, the Internationale Grüne Woche, between January 17th and 26th . Since 1926, representatives of food, agriculture and horticulture have been exhibiting their fresh or processed and refined products here. From fruit and vegetables to meat and dairy products to wine, beer and spirits, there is everything your heart and soul desire.

But that’s not all: here you can also find out a lot about current topics and trends in the industry – directly from science and practice. In addition to the 1,800 exhibitors with around 100,000 products, there will be an extensive supporting programme at the Grüne Woche, which, among others, has already attracted 200 international and national ministers and state secretaries. Here, decision-makers, representatives and experts from tomorrow’s food scene will be at the start. If you want to stay as up-to-date as possible, it’s best to buy a ticket!

Greentech Festival

As the name suggests, the Berlin Greentech Festival focuses on green technologies, climate protection and global challenges. It hits the nerve of time and aims to raise awareness for sustainability in various industries. In addition to food trends, mobility, energy and lifestyle products also play a role. From June 19th to 21st you can find out more about these topics in the German capital and experience a number of exciting exhibitors up close. Last time, for example, Tesla, Google, Lebensbaum, Insnack and Soulbottles were at the start. This is where the music of the future will play!

If you have a heart for organic food with your food startup, this is the place for you. This world fair for organic products will take place from February 12th to 15th in Nuremberg in conjunction with VIVANESS (Trade Fair for Natural Cosmetics and Wellness). Next year, representatives from agriculture, food processing and production, biotechnology and the consumer goods industry will meet for the 30th time at BIOFACH. They will network and discuss current and future methods in organic agriculture as well as services and literature in the organic sector.

Organic again, this time in Hanover and with a focus on quality-oriented specialist trade. BioNord is part of an independent industry platform and will take place on September 6th. With almost 5,000 trade visitors and over 400 exhibitors, it is getting bigger and bigger and is the right place for you as an organic food startup to meet trade representatives, expand your network and possibly enter into a sustainable partnership in every respect!

If you have committed yourself personally and/or with your startup to the vegan nourishing style, then immediately add the VeggieWorld fair row to your calendar! With the locations Wiesbaden (7.-9.2.), Utrecht (29.2.-1.3.), Berlin (7.-8.3.), Hamburg (14.-15.3.), Milan (21.-22.3.), Paris (25.-26.4. and 9.-11.10.), Shanghai (15-17.5.), Barcelona (3.-4.10.), Düsseldorf (24.-25.10.), Hong Kong (24.-25.10.), Beijing (6.-8.11.), Copenhagen (7.-8.11.) and Munich (14.-15.11.) it is the largest international exhibition series of the vegan scene. Here, everything revolves around the purely vegetable lifestyle. In other words, primarily milk and meat alternatives, superfood, sustainability, but also clothing and cosmetics.

The international trade fair for the hotel, restaurant, catering, bakery and confectionery industries will once again attract exciting trade visitors and guests to Hamburg between March 13th and 17th. At INTERNORGA you will meet restaurateurs, hoteliers, bakers, confectioners and experts from the food retail trade and out-of-home sales. This fair has existed since 1957 and is therefore a real industry hotspot, where the scene tracks down new trends – maybe even yours? There is a Newcomers Area and other special exhibition areas, for example for spirits, craft beer or grill & BBQ. And those who stand out in the competitions can win prizes from the Future, Next Chef or Gastro Founder categories!

The FoodUP fair will celebrate its debut next year from October 10th to 11th in Hamburg and is still waiting for your application as an exhibitor! Be there with your trends right from the start and meet manufacturers and producers there. Not only trade visitors, but also private visitors are very welcome here. So you can also inform yourself wonderfully if you are still at the very beginning or in the middle of the founding phase.

The international food startup network Crowdfoods invites you on February 27th for the second time to the island Mainau at Lake Constance for an exciting food & agro-event. The #FoodSummit20 brings together food/agro (tech) startups, trade and industry experts and investors from the entire DACHLI region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein). There will be a conference covering topics such as e-commerce, logistics and technological innovations as well as a planned practical exchange with targeted networking.
