Recently, we gave you an overview of the most important food fairs that will take place in Germany next year. But if you want to broaden your horizon in more ways than one, you can also venture directly beyond the German borders. Here are some exciting events coming up in Denmark and the Netherlands!
Every two years Foodexpo is held at MCH Messecenter Herning in Denmark and is organised in cooperation with twelve leading professional organisations from the foodservice & catering, hotel & restaurant and retail sectors. Foodexpo is the biggest food fair in Scandinavia and fills ten halls with around 600 exhibitors, food experiences, new products, exciting speak-up areas, inspiring trend zones and valuable network meetings. In 2018 Foodexpo had 571 exhibitors and 26,178 visitors. In 2020 it will take place from March 22th to 24th.
For more than 20 years, Europe’s leading trade fair for the food industry has regularly brought together the entire food sector. In 2020 it will happen again from September 29th to October 1st, also in Herning. The FoodTech Expo covers five halls with a wide range of topics and product categories. Anyone who manages to get one of the almost 300 exhibitor places here can look forward to three days of inspiration, networking and knowledge exchange and prove themselves in front of a top-class trade audience!
Bite is dedicated to sustainable food solutions and will take place next year from August 26th to 27th in Copenhagen, Denmark. Everything revolves around the food of tomorrow. Not only the exhibition is part of the fair, but also keynotes from exciting speakers and informative expert workshops. Furthermore, you will not only leave with a lot of new inspiration, but probably also valuable contacts. Speed networking gives you the chance to convince potential partners and investors of your startup!
From January 22nd to 23rd, a trip to Zwolle to the leading organic trade fair in the Netherlands is well worthwhile. With over 80 workshops and lectures, BioBeurs offers a platform for lively discussions on the food trends of the future and developments in the organic sector. Startups interested in the opportunities and market developments of organic products are very welcome here! Here’s who you can meet here: gastronomers, caterers, knowledge institutes, consultants, suppliers and experts from the agricultural sector.
AgriFood Innovation Event
The fourth edition of the AgriFood Innovation Event is a business, technology and research platform. It stands out by bringing together European and global companies from the entire agricultural supply chain from farmer to consumer. The venue, the Brightlands Campus Greenport Venlo in the Netherlands, is located in a region where agri-food companies are among the most productive, sustainable and profitable in the world. Food innovation is practically part of the DNA of entrepreneurs there. Why should you come there on June 23rd and 24th? Because there will be a series of sub-conferences dealing with such topical issues as vertical farming, smart farming or 3D printing of food!
Free From Functional Food Expo
At the Free From Functional Food Expo, the name says it all. This trade show is all about products that are free of chemicals, genetic engineering and pesticides, as well as 100% natural and manufactured according to fair trade standards. As a sustainable food startup with an ecological and fair trade innovation, you are at the right place at this industry event in Amsterdam from June 24th to 25th.
2020 may well come!
Those who have not yet done so should get a new calendar for next year now, in order to make notes of these exciting and valuable food fairs. We hope you enjoy networking and learning from each other – and we hope to see you at the Food Innovation Camp on June 15th!
